Since we didn't choose to install a system, we were looking for the simplest, cheapest way to go. I’m only using Zones 1 and 3 (because Zone 2 seems to always stay in Bypass), but I would like to see on the keypad LEDs when the system is actually alarmed or not and hearing the siren for longer than a second would be nice too (and that pesky SERVICE light is kinda annoying also!)Īny suggestions? :-X) is that whether I am in an unarmed mode or in armed mode, after about 30 to 40 seconds of normal status lights, the keypad will then show only the POWER LED on, while everything else is off. The main problem that is driving me nuts ( even after doing the *8 + 9713, 910#, which does not seem to send the alarm panel back to factory default anyway. The system seems to have a few issues, but still gets MY attention when it alarms (mainly the alarm we hear is through the keypad, since the siren only goes off for about a second).
